With every mix i like my collection of "liked mixes" is getting bigger and bigger. For me it´d be positive if I could categorize my "liked mixes", to organize them. It should be able to create some kind of "folders" like (my party mixes, study mixes, summer mixes, ...you know what I mean) and then i could drag and drop my "liked mixes" into these categories. With that feature I`d have a well organized collection of mixes. Thanks clicclic

It would be great if there was an offline mode where a mix could be downloaded into the app for play when not connected to the internet. That would be boss. Then we could have a mix with us on commutes, trips and etc. Spotify has that feature. 8tracks needs it too. More so than Spotify I think.

In the new layout, the same playlists show up in multiple genres. It's irritating to see the same popular playlists over and over again. I've found a lot of gems just by randomly clicking on the recent mixes on the front page. Now I can't do that. It seems like all the front page playlists (and even the genres. like, why do I see punk on the front page? I don't think punk is as universally popular as all that. And why do I only see English, as if you don't have any, say, Spanish- or Japanese-speaking users?) displayed are directed at suburban hipster college kids (need I remind you of the thousands of insultingly popular indie rock playlists with pictures endorsing appropriation of Native American cultures? 'cus I just did, bro), which, whatever, that's gross and all but that's kind of always been what 8tracks has been about. But now it's really obvious! I mean, the layout's sleek and all fancy-lookin' but uggh. It decreases discovering non-extremely popular playlists by like a thousand. I did the math! (Full disclosure: I did not do the math.) I've been getting frustrated with 8tracks for awhile so I think I'll just use last.fm instead. The last.fm radio station layout isn't the most intuitive (in that they might have "Starry Eyed" and "I'd Rather Dance With You" on the same genre station) but last.fm don't curr about boosting the same playlists and ignoring the people who don't really care for those type of playlists. Also, the genres that appear on the main 8tracks page actually change. So right now it's Hip Hop, Dubstep & Funk, but I've seen various incarnations since the recent site change.

I agree with your main points, but for me personally, I still have no problem finding the many kinds of music I like (and I stay away from all the popular stuff, as those mixes tend to not interest me at all).

Users should be able to create mixes from the IPhone app.

Perhaps there could be more information on our profiles like: 1. No. of mixes listened to 2. Total no. of plays on our mixes 3. Total likes of our mixes 4. Most popular mix created :) It would be useful to see that information.

i loved how simple it was to click and play with a landscape of icons of playlist album covers and a mix of genres, having the access of tap and go depending on what i felt like and the availability of even having it be random was amazing. this newly seperated genre homepage layout removes the ease and user-friendly style that 8tracks previously provided me. i am less than satisfied.

Hi - I am really digging 8Tracks – thanks so much for creating such a great service! A bug, though: On my computer, 8Tracks works fine, but on my Android phone when I start a mix, after a few songs it will get stuck and repeat the same song over and over and over. And because you can't fast forward through songs, there's nothing that can be done. I just have to go to another mix, where the same problem will happen a few songs in. I've upgraded to 2.0 (the latest version) and am still having the problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

I can confirm this bug on Android 2.3, HTC Hero S, US Cellular. Super annoying because you go to skip the song, it plays again, then you cannot skip any more songs due to the 8tracks licence.

This is more of a big HELP! than a suggestion. Over a year's worth of people I have 'followed' on 8tracks has disappeared sometime in the last few days. I love the music those users were putting together and it will be near impossible to find them again.

every social networking interface has an easy way to search for friends... i know you can "follow people", but the only way i see to do that is to search for a mix they made. You should be able to easily search for people by various types of info, and easily see your friend list.

So I notice that android has way more options for it best selling phones, kinda looks like the mobile side of FaceBook. It would be nice to write feed back on like or any playlist. And I notice that only on the main website that you can pick to play all or play all you liked playlist.. and this maybe not your fault, but I also notice even with my Iphone 4, Iphone 4s, and Ipad 3 that once I start a playlist if will start off fine, then stop playing altogether, or it will just freez while it's playing. I would have to pick a new playlist, stop and log out, or close the app all at ocne. And being as you picked Apple to have the mobile app frist that you guys have would have more updates. And The updates should work with new updates from Apple.

The tag list changes based on what you pick before. Because i listen to a lot of different it is hard to use. For the first 3 pages its just random dubstep genres iv never listened to before but to find indie (which is what i usually want from 8 tracks) i have to wade through the pages of things like weed, bass, drum and bass, and other random music. Just remember what i pick and show it.
